Farnborough, Moss Vale - Open Garden..and.. Just in time for Mother's Day - Come and Meet my friend Rose Figtree

It's a lovely old property in Moss Vale and it's been a favourite of mine
for a long time.  So much so that Andrew and I had our 40th birthday party here
about eight years ago with the previous owners.

Farnborough is a beautiful old garden and home with a lot of history and at the moment it is filled with magnificent Autumn colours everywhere.  I have photographed many table settings here in this garden over the years.  But what is really special about this place and something that I want to share with all of you today is that the owners of Farnborough, Grant and Rose Figtree (below in hat) are building a school in Bangladesh for 150 children who live in grossly underprivileged conditions  as well as a special section in the school for 70 children with special needs.

Far away from the Southern Highlands in another country this school building is in progress, the fourth floor is nearly complete. When Rose is back home in the Highlands from Bangladesh where she spends many months of the year she opens her garden for different events, Jazz, live entertainment and more and this week it's open for everyone. It's a perfect spot for a special Mother's Day walk.

All the proceeds go straight to Bangladesh towards the building this school.  I'm so proud to know her, she has so much grace.   I'm sure all the little children in Bangladesh adore her as much as she was adored by all her friends and visitors last Sunday as I walked around her garden with her.

Hurry to her property if you're in the Highlands this weekend...
Quick ....before all the leaves drop,
$5.00 per person at the front Gate.
