I listen to her every day while I work - over and over and over.
Many readers have asked - What is this beautiful music - who is the singer?
As I'm sure many of you already know of Snatam Kaur and her beautiful music.
Snatam Kaur Khalsa, is an American singer and songwriter,
she performs Indian devotional music, kirtan (call and response) and
tours the world as a peace activist.
The name Kaur - means Princess
Many of the songs on Snatam's recordings are ancient chants sung in Guruumkhi,
the sacred language of the Sikhs.
Other songs are in English.
This aptly reflect her upbringing, which frequently bridged two worlds.
